Whether you’re already a teacher, would like to become one, or simply want to deepen your knowledge and experience of yoga, teacher training is a profound and joyful way to learn more about not just yoga, but yourself. Immerse yourself in anatomy, asana, pranayama, meditation and yogic philosophy! ISHTA’s Yoga Alliance certified 200-Hour teacher training program is designed to deepen your understanding of the science of yoga. The ISHTA style of yoga, integrating the principles of Hatha yoga for anatomy and alignment; Tantric philosophy for a nondualistic, joyful approach to the physical and subtle bodies and the pranayama, meditation and philosophy we use to explore them; and Ayurveda to understand and embrace each yogi’s unique spirit and needs, leads to a uniquely holistic education that is both broad and deep. Whether you plan to make a career out of teaching yoga or are simply looking to evolve your own practice, this program will expand your yoga not just on your mat but throughout your life.
Our curriculum meets and exceeds Yoga Alliance’s certification standards. Areas of study include:
- Asana and meditation practice
- In-depth posture labs
- Anatomy and physiology
- Philosophy and principles of ISHTA Yoga: the Integrated Science of Hatha, Tantra and Ayurveda
- Pranayama and the energetic bodies
- Meditation
- Specialty areas, including prenatal yoga, restorative yoga, and Sanskrit
